Hummingbird

I lost count of how many times I've tried to take one single photograph of a hummingbird.

They're fast, they come and back in a blink, so it is nearly impossible.

It was quite an exercise... about 1h and a couple blurred shots, but I did it! Loved it.

This one has the miniature effect from my new camera Canon 600D - which makes it even more special.

New home news - Acabamentos

Sexta-feira tive uma reunião ótima com a minha arquiteta Pat Nóvoa pra falar sobre os acabamentos que vamos usar no meu apto. Foi difícil, mas muito legal.

Aliás, essa é a uma das fases onde o trabalho do arquiteto é mais do que importante: de todos os acabamentos que eu tinha visto, NENHUM dos que separamos  para o projeto já estavam no meu setlist anterior - ou seja, quem acha que arquiteto não acrescenta nada e só enrola na hora das obras, está muito enganado. Estou amando o trabalho feito pela Pat.

Sobre os acabamentos, algumas decisões bem legais:

Cimento Polimérico
Eu odeio rejunte. Tinha pensado no porcelanato retificado porque dá pra ter rejunte bem fininho - pelas minhas pesquisas e consultas - e a Pat sugeriu também piso de madeira. O piso de madeira eu descartei logo por causa do Joey... as patinhas dele acabariam com o piso e as crises de ciúme deixariam marcas com certeza. Foi então que a Pat sugeriu o cimento polimérico. Demos uma olhada em referências na internet e agora vamos ver ao vivo pra bater o martelo. Mas por tudo o que vi e li a respeito até agora, é isso mesmo. Depois conto mais.

Silestone
Também nunca tinha ouvido falar. Pelo menos não pelo nome. Com certeza você também já viu por aí, mas não faz ideia que se trate desse material. Vamos usar em uma bancada que será desenhada pela Pat. Mais detalhes quando definirmos melhor as cores, o desenho, etc. ;)

I just finished watching this movie and I am impressed, touched, resented, happy and many other adjectives that I can't write in any language write now.

The movie is beautiful. Ziyi Zhang plays all her roles perfectly. I dare saying that this is how an actor should do its job - if you put different roles in the same movie you don't feel it is the same person playing it. It just seems/feels it is someone else. Cheers to that.

The movie is about three generation of women - not exactly bound by blood - and how they develop their lives based on love, trust and mistakes.

After seeing it I feel proud of being a woman and also being able to make such a lot of mistakes and still have strength to survive, believe and fight for what we want/need in our lives. It doesn't mean it is easy. But it is possible.

You can easily give up on a lot of things, but the fact that you are a woman, just gives you the tools to overcome whatever it is that is on your way to move forward.

But, of course, we are not made of strengths only. We have weakness, flows and a huge ability to heal and love, even when all we want to do is hate. When we lose our faith...

Perhaps it doesn't make sense to you - especially if you are a man - but see the movie. Let yourself  be touched by the facts. See how it is easy to be a man in a woman's life and then leave. See how it can change our life in a way that one can't possibly understand. And also see how we are able to move forward. Are you sure you want let someone like this this go? If we are able to all of that when we are alone, can you picture the things we can do together?

Uh! Loads of thoughts. Try some yourself.

Family

Few years ago I lost myself in a way I could never be found if I didn't had my family's help and support.

Some friends were also close and helpful, but I was looking at some pictures yesterday and I realized that if not because of my family, I don't know what would have happened.

There were days I just needed to stay alone, so they let me. There were others I was fighting for no reasons, so they let me. On others, I was this crazy person who wanted to do crazy stuff, so they let me and did it with me. Whatever I needed, they were there to support. And to respect. They just were there, you know?

Many years after that time I look at some pictures - of course there are just few of them I am on - and I can today realize that you cannot tell what was going on back then. You look and you see me, just as you know me today or before that time, but you can't tell the problems I was having. Nor the suffering they were probably going through because of me.

And I am so thankful for having this family - and all the friends who have been with me all these years - that sometimes the love I feel for you won't fit inside of me. It is just too big for a tiny person such as myself.

So, if you are family, we'll hug and kiss next time we get together (soon, I would say). And if you're a friend, even not meeting me as much as we would like, do know how much I appreciate your friendship and care for as long as we know each other. And for that, THANK YOU! Let's try to get together sometime to celebrate LIFE!

I guess I love the entire album "xx". The "Intro" is amazing. I always feel like it ends in the best part of it and you want more. Then comes "VCR" - no words for it. "Heart skipped a beat" sometimes makes my heart skip a couple beats, hehe. Then "Basic Space". Well, you gotta listen and tell me what you think.

It is funny. I had the new album, but can't stop listening to old songs. I guess I'll list what I've been listening lately because it is what I have in mind rather than just try to list new stuff.
